Ph.D. Positions in Sep 2024 (positions filled)
Description
Two fully funded Ph.D. student positions are available in CaRC Lab at MTU. Interested research areas include VR/AR, construction robotics, artificial intelligence in construction, computer vision and natural language processing applications in construction, modular construction, and block-enabled contract management. The expected start date of these positions is September 2024. The student will receive fully financial support including tuition, health insurance, and a monthly stipend.

Requirements

Obtained bachelor and master degrees in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Computer Science or other related fields

Previous research experience in one or more of following fields including robotics, computer vision, natural language processing, machine learning, blockchain, BIM, and digital twinning, and other information technologies in construction.

Have programming skills in Python, Matlab, or C++ and familiar with deep learning libraries such as Pytorch, Tensorflow, or MXNet. Or have strong willing to learn these programming skills.

Experience in publishing journal articles in peer-reviewed journals

Strong research passion and highly self-motivated
